site.btaUPDATED President Radev Pays Official Visit to Montenegro
President Rumen Radev arrived on Sunday for an official visit to Montenegro until July 12 at the invitation of President Milo Dukanovic, Radev's press secretariat said.
Following a welcoming ceremony on Monday at the Blue Palace in Cetinje, the official residence of the Montenegrin president, Radev and Dukanovic are to have a one-to-one meeting. They are also to head the plenary talks between the official delegations, after which they will give a joint news conference.
The deepening of bilateral cooperation in economy, education, science, innovation and technology, security and defence partnership, regional cooperation in Southeast Europe, as well as Montenegro's European perspective are expected to be the focus of Radev's meetings during his official visit.
In Montenegro, the Bulgarian President is also scheduled to confer with Montenegrin Parliament President Danijela Durovic, as well as with Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic.
President Radev will be accompanied by his wife, Desislava Radeva.
The Bulgarian head of State will attend the opening of an exhibition titled "Bulgaria and Montenegro 1878-1918", organized under a joint project by the two countries' state archives. The exhibition will showcase historical documents related to bilateral relations from the period between 1878 and 1918, which proves the long-lasting ties between the two countries and its peoples.
