and Very Important Partner
in SE Asia - Borissov


New York, September 28 (BTA) - Meeting with Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said Vietnam is Bulgaria's trusted friend and very important partner in the dynamic South East Asia region. The two met in New York where Borissov's delegation is participating in the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly, the government information service said.

Borissov voiced Bulgaria's readiness for cooperation in all fields of economic and social development. "Bulgaria and Vietnam are traditionally friendly countries and the potential of their economic relations can broaden," said Borissov.

The two prime ministers concurred that relations in education, research and innovation had been invigorated in recent years.

Borissov and Nguyen discussed possible ways to step up labour cooperation. Bulgaria is ready in principle to start talks on expanding the labour and social policy legal framework with a view to regulating labour migration between the two countries. LI/DD
