PM Borissov Welcomes
Leaders of Greece, Romania,
Serbia
Sofia, November 2 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov welcomed
Prime Ministers Alexis Tsipras of Greece and Viorica Dancila of
Romania and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at the
Euxinograd Residence, the venue for Friday's quadrilateral
high-level meeting, the Government Information Service said.
The Bulgarian host of the event thanked the three leaders for
their serious commitment to the meeting in this format, which
started in the Black Sea city of Varna in October 2017. The fact
that this is the second meeting in six months is evidence that
this format works and that it contributes to the deepening of
regional cooperation and the development of goodneighbourly
relations.
The four countries share responsibilities for strengthening the
region's security, economic development and connectivity,
Borissov stressed before the opening of the meeting. He is
confident that discussion on the projects of shared interest
will continue on Friday so that the agreements reached will be
implemented within the best possible time frame to ensure
connectivity, security and stability in South-East Europe.
The Bulgarian government leader said the fruitful multilateral
dialogue would benefit from the presence of Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
