 MRF Calls for Deconstruction of
 Governing Coalition
 and Early Elections

Sofia, November 5 (BTA) - The Movement for Rights and Freedoms Monday reiterated their demand for the nationalists to leave the government and called for the deconstruction of the governing coalition and for premature elections. Presenting the Movement's position on Nova TV, Yordan Tsonev, MP and member of the MRF leadership, denied that the MRF had ever offered the GERB party to support a minority government of only GERB and without the nationalists' United Patriots coalition.

Tsonev said that the MRF aims for early elections because the current government has used up its resources and is unlikely to form a new type of majority or go for a new way of governance.

He pointed out that the 2019 draft budget is inadequate to the current economic cycle and said that the higher expenditures will increase inflation, hamper economic growth and subsequently cancel out both the pension and salary increase.

Tsonev argued that increasing certain target groups's income is a pre-election stunt and is not economically justified. He said further that GERB-run cities and towns have turned into constriction sites, which is not the case for the rest of the country.

Tsonev argued that the Draft Budget was created to gain taxpayer support for next year's local and european elections.

He said there is "bad news" for GERB: "This budget will lead to a third election and GERB will surely lose it". LN/DT
