March 20 (BTA) - The MPs from the Volya-Bulgarian
Patriots group will stay in Parliament  it emerged after a
meeting on Wednesday between Volya leader Vesselin Mareshki and
GERB floor leader Tsvetan Tsvetanov.

Last week Mareshki said that Volya were leaving the National
Assembly and asked for a meeting with GERB to discuss the
policies of the ruling majority.

At a news briefing after the meeting which was closed to the
media Tsvetanov and Mareshki commended the constructive
dialogue. Tsvetanov said: "We, as responsible politicians from
the ruling majority. would like to have a constructive working
dialogue with all parliamentary parties."  GERB experts
presented the sectoral policies and the implementation of the
governance programme. GERB noted the budget discipline, the good
work of the tax and customs authorities, the growth of GDP,
exports, investments and the low unemployment. Tsvetanov said
that the at the end of the government's term the minimum pension
will be 240 leva. He forecast an average working wage of 1,400
leva in 2021. GERB underscored the  higher wages of teachers and
the money allocated to improve education infrastructure.
Tsvetanov noted the increased budget of the National Health
Insurance Fund. GERB tied the development of the Northwestern
Region with the building of necessary infrastructure.

Volya leader Vesselin Mareshki said that the meeting was very
important because GERB had to clarify their governance
programme. Otherwise Volya could have made an ungrounded
decision which could have hurt the state. Mareshki said that
Volya were impressed with GERB's professionalism.

Mareshki said: "If we only think of our private interests or
like political brokers or gamblers, we'll be the next to create
chaos, tension and stagnation. This is a situation which
everyone wants in order to plunder the state."

Mareshki said that Volya will support the good things GERB are
doing and which to a large extent coincide with their programme.
He said that Volya and GERB had differences too and that it
was important for Volya to see whether the ruling parties are
implementing their governance programme.

Tsvetanov said that this news conference will show people that
there is no deal but ideas that are being discussed and real
policies that are being implemented which each parliamentary
group can assess.

Earlier socialist MP Dragomir Stoynev suggested that this was an
 attempt for a
deal between Tsvetanov and Mareshki. LI/PP
