Sofia, April 16 (BTA) - GERB and the Nikola Petkov political party signed here on Tuesday a political partnership agreement to support GERB's list of candidates for the upcoming European Parliament elections.

GERB leader Boyko Borissov called for uniting against the "creeping dictatorship", in his words, which GERB's opponents want to impose. Their goals are poorly concealed and their brutal actions are very visible, Borissov commented in front of journalists after the agreement was signed. He noted that for the next local elections, GERB plan on having joint lists for municipal councillor candidates with parties that are smaller, but influential on the local level.

"We believe this to be the most balanced list of people, who will protect our interests in the European Parliament," Nikola Petkov leader Ventsislav Vurbanov said.

The national campaign headquarters of GERB announced the future signing of partnership agreements with the Gergyovden movemebt, the Bulgarian Democratic Forum and the Union of Bulgarians Repressed by the Communist Regime. RY/MY
