May 31 (BTA) - It is expected that by the end of the year
96 per cent of the country's territory would be covered by a
cadastral map, said Valentin Yovev, Deputy Minister of Regional
Development and Public Works, during a General Assembly of the
National Real Estate Association on Friday. Yovev noted that the
map's completion and the cadastral registers for the whole
country have an important role in stimulating investment
processes and economic growth, said his ministry press office.

There are cadastral maps for all district towns, as well as for
a large part of the municipal centres and in settlements and
territories with an active property market and strong investment
interest. The entire Black Sea coastline, mountain and spa
resorts are covered, Yovev said. It is expected that within four
to five years the making of specialized maps will be completed
in a variety of investment areas, providing more detailed
information on the cadastral map. The Deputy Minister said that
the specialized maps are extremely valuable for planning in
different types of zones as well as for investment intentions
because they will contain information on construction,
facilities, easements, underground and aboveground engineering
infrastructure, water resources, perennials, underground
resources, terrain etc.

At the forum Yovev emphasized that the development of the
construction industry and the investment processes in the
regions is a priority in the work of the Ministry of Regional
Development and Public Works. The construction sector is an
important factor  for the economic development and the
renovation of settlements, the Deputy Minister said. LY/DT
