"Nearly Excellent" Implementation of

June 6 (BTA) - Deputy Regional Development and Public Works Minister and head of the Managing Authority of the Regions in Growth Operational Programme Denitsa Nikolova reported on the implementation of the Programme to the parliamentary Committee on European Affairs and EU Funds Oversight on Wednesday. Nikolova said, quoted by her Ministry, that the implementation of the Programme is "nearly perfect," with certain risks that have been identified.

Nikolova said that 86 per cent of the budget of the Programme, which is the biggest regional development programme among the other operational programmes, has been contracted. A total of 587 contracts have been concluded, whose total worth exceeds 2.5 billion leva. One hundred and thirteen of the contracts have been completed.

Nikolova presented a detailed breakdown of the funding made available under the different priority axes of the OP.

She also reported that the 12 programmes for trans-border and territorial cooperation managed by her Ministry are being implemented successfully. IG/ZH
