A flu epidemic has been declared in 11 regions of the country, the Ministry of Health said. 

These are the regions of Blagoevgrad, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Vratsa, Vidin, Dobrich, Pleven, Plovdiv, Haskovo, Shumen and Yambol. The lowest incidence of flu and acute respiratory diseases was recorded in the regions of Sofia-city, Kardzhali and Ruse, under 100 per 10,000 population, according to data from the National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases.
