Reading a declaration on behalf of Democracy, Rights and Freedoms, Dzhevdet Chakarov said that the parliamentary group is ready to participate in cabinet formation talks if they get invited, the talks are public and exclude MRF - New Beginning, the Peevski model, and Vazrazhdane. "During the election of a National Assembly Chair, we showed clearly that we are open to dialogue, constructive and with principles. We believe that the country has a huge need of a regular government, because the lack of political stability is a reason for the economic instability as well as the withdrawal of foreign investors," the declaration reads.
"Even if we do not get invited to talks on the formation of a majority to elect a government, we are ready to take part in talks on a wider agreement for the achievement of important priorities for the country. One of these are the measures for overcoming the delay in the receipt and absorption of EU resources under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP)," Chakarov said. Another serious challenge is the judicial reform, which is a condition not only for the resources under the NRRP but also for attracting foreign investment.
Also needed are urgent measures for accelerated economic development, increasing the living standard, and overcoming the differences between regions. It is very important to have equality between regions, he noted.
Bulgaria should continue on its Euro-Atlantic path of development and be a stable partner of the democratic Euro-Atlantic community, the declaration reads.
