A Christmas matinee wаs held on December 25  at the Musical Theatre, with a concert which has become a cultural event for the audience in Sofia and Stara Zagora, the theatre said.

The concert featured graduates of the Lyubomir Pipkov National Music School, accompanied by the Sofia Youth Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Slavil Dimitrov, as well as the children’s choir of the National Music School, and various vocal and instrumental soloists, including harp. 

Special works were performed by young musicians in duets with established names such as Edelina Kaneva, Orlin Goranov, Vasil Petrov. The soloists of the National Music Theatre, Temenuzhka Trifonova and Kristina Kokorska, also participated in the concert, as well as classical guitar student Filip Donkov.

The performance of young talents on the same stage and in duets with their musical idols is extremely motivating for future musicians, commented the Musical Theatre.
