site.btaProducer Price Index in Agriculture Up 5.3% in Q2

August 15 (BTA) - The producer price index in agriculture
 in the second quarter of 2019 increased by 5.3 per cent
year-on-year, the National Statistical Institute reported here
on Thursday. The crop output index increased by 5.8 per cent and
 the animal output index - by 4.6 per cent.

Compared to the previous year, the prices of agricultural output
 went up by 4.1 per cent. This increase was 4.9 per cent in the
crop output price index and 3.0 per cent in the animal output
price index.
 
The index of prices of goods and services currently consumed in
agriculture in the second quarter of 2019 was 3.1 per cent
higher compared to the corresponding quarter of previous year
and by 2.5 per cent compared to 2018.

In second quarter of 2019, compared to corresponding quarter of
2018, higher prices were reported of: seeds and planting stock -
 by 1.7 per cent, energy and fuels - by 1.5 per cent,
fertilisers - by 10.4 per cent, veterinary medical products - by
 4.0 per cent and animal feeding stuffs - by 3.8 per cent. The
prices of plant protection products were lower by 0.8 per cent.
 
 
Compared to 2018, in second quarter of 2019 the price index of
energy and fuels went up by 1.3 per cent, the prices of seeds
and planting stock - by 2.1 per cent, fertilisers - by 5.5 per
cent, veterinary medical products - by 4.9 per cent and animal
feeding stuffs - by 3.3 per cent. The prices of plant protection
