Three virtuoso Bach concerts will take place on November 17 at Bulgaria Hall, featuring violinists Bozhidara Kuzmanova and Zornitsa Ilarionova, the Sofia Philharmonic said here on Friday. Kuzmanova and Ilarionova will be appearing together for the first time, with Maestra Diana Ilkoska conducting the performance.

The programme features Violin Concerto No. 1 in A minor, BWV 1041, Violin Concerto No. 2 in E major, BWV 1042, and Concerto for Two Violins in D minor, BWV 1043.

The Sofia Philharmonic stated that Bach's violin concertos are some of the most frequently performed pieces, enjoyed by both amateur musicians and celebrated virtuosos. These works are often known as the First Concerto in A minor, BWV 1041, and the Second in E major, BWV 1042, though their precise order of composition is uncertain. It is thought that they were written between 1717 and 1721 in Köthen or around 1730 in Leipzig.
