Two Bulgarian films have been selected for premiere screenings at the BFI London Film Festival, the Bulgarian Cultural Institute London (BCIL) shared on its Facebook page on Thursday.

The selected films are The Herd, directed by Milko Lazarov and starring Zahari Baharov, and Triumph, directed by Petar Valchanov and Kristina Grozeva, featuring Maria Bakalova.

Both screenings were met with sustained applause well after the final credits, and the ensuing discussions were described as lively and thought-provoking, BCIL said.

Once again, BCIL has played an active role in promoting Bulgarian cinema at the BFI London Film Festival, held from October 9 to October 20.
