Velichie leader Ivelin Mihaylov held a meeting with residents of Rakovski Municipality (South Bulgaria) on Monday. "There can be no good wages and life if there is no freedom for the people," he said. Mihaylov stressed the need for people to have right to self-government.

"What I see in the last 35 years is only one thing - liquidation, which started from the largest enterprises and went to various large state structures," Mihaylov said. As examples, he pointed to electricity distribution companies, private pension funds and private hospitals.

He presented to the audience a 20-year plan for the country's governance. It featured attracting foreign tourists, for which the infrastructure, urban and intercity transport must be improved. Mihailov also pointed out that Bulgaria is rich in mineral springs that cure almost all types of diseases and tourism should take advantage of them.

Among the ideas of Velichie is to create a sailing canal from the Netherlands to Varna (on the Black Sea), which in addition to moving goods and people could be used for irrigation and hydroelectric power plants, party representatives argued.
