site.btaStar Tenor Jonas Kaufmann Arrives in Sofia to Sing with Sofia Philharmonic

World's top tenor Jonas Kaufmann arrives in Sofia for a concert with Bulgaria's top orchestra, the Sofia Philharmonic said as it announced the upcoming concert of the renowned German-Austrian tenor. He will be singing at an opera gala in Sofia's National Palace of Culture (NDK) on September 28.

The Sofia Philharmonic is already rehearsing the programme with conductor Jochen Riede. Kaufmann and soprano Rachel Willis-Sørensen will join the rehearsals on Friday. 

Kaufmann will arrive in Sofia with his wife and son, who will watch his Bulgarian debut from the front row of NDK's Hall 1.
