Bulgarian athlete Lachezar Valchev secured fourth place in the triple jump at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru on August 29, 2024.

Valchev, European U18 Champion from Jerusalem 2022, finished the competition with a personal best of 16.16 m.

New Zealand’s Ethan Olivier won gold with 17.01 m. Karson Gordon from the US won silver with a personal best of 16.74 m, and the bronze went to Yinglong Ma from China, also with a personal best of 16.30 m.
