site.btaGERB to Nominate Ekaterina Zaharieva for EU Commissioner, Party Leader Borissov Says

Speaking to reporters in the corridors of Parliament on Tuesday, GERB leader Boyko Borissov announced that Ekaterina Zaharieva will be his party’s nominee for a Bulgarian member of the European Commission.

"A lot of people are talking about issues they are not familiar with. In August, people in Brussels are on holiday. [...] The portfolios are assigned after August", he said.

According to Borissov, Bulgaria is not late with its nomination. In his words, in recent years, nobody takes Bulgaria into account.
