A state of emergency on the territory of the villages of Dimcha, Slomer and Lesicheri (North Bulgaria) was announced by the Mayor of the nearby town of Pavlikeni, Emanuil Manolov, on his official Facebook page. The decision was made during Monday's meeting of the municipal taskforce set up in response to the water supply problems in the three villages, said the Mayor.

The possibility of declaring a state of emergency due to the lack of water in some settlements of the municipality of Pavlikeni was indicated in June by Manolov at a press conference in BTA's press club in Veliko Tarnovo. Back then, the Mayor explained that during the dry summer months the water sources dry up necessitating water supply interruptions, which has been a problem for years.
