Independent MPs from the former Velichie parliamentary group and from the parliamentary group of Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB), submitted a project to install video surveillance cameras in the elevators and internal corridors of the National Assembly in order to guarantee the security of the people's representatives.

The proposal was tabled by are Yavor Bozhankov, Bogdan Bogdanov, Stella Nikolova, Manol Peykov (CC-DB), Larisa Savova, Krasimira Katincharova, Yuliana Mateeva (former Velichie MPs), etc.

The reasons for the proposal outline a number of incidents that happened in the short history of the 50th National Assembly, some of which outside the plenary hall, including in the elevators and internal corridors. Some incidents were sharp verbal attacks with crude insults in elevators, in other cases, a group of MPS physically attacked individual MPs.

The latest clash between MPs took place in the second week of August between Yavor Bozhankov from CC-DB and Kosta Stoyanov from Vazrazhdane.
