With the partial, piecemeal decision, the Constitutional Court once again unmasked itself and showed that firstly it is not a constitutional but an unconstitutional court, and secondly that it is privately owned - this institution should be closed. This is what Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov told journalists in Parliament on the occasion of the decision of the Constitutional Court on the changes in the basic law of the country.

“The fact that the judicial reform went to the dustbin does not surprise us, because it was done in a wrong way and we had previously stated that if the Court reasoned in favour of the law, there is no way these changes can remain,” Kostadinov further said. “The bad thing is that the same applies to all the other changes that the party has referred to the Constitutional Court. There remains the extremely treacherous decision to allow people with dual citizenship to become MPs, ministers and prime ministers, which for us is really an extremely big problem.”

According to Kostadinov, the Constitution remains "desecrated". "Over the years, we have seen that two lobbies are fighting for control of the judiciary - on the one hand, Peevski, who currently owns it, on the other - the lobby around Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) and Prokopiev, who wanted to control the system," Kostadin Kostadinov said. “The judicial reform has been in place for more than half a year, have we seen any effect in the work of the prosecutor's office, the courts?” he asked.
