Sofia Student Wins Prestigious Award at Space Camp Turkiye

A student from Sofia has won the prestigious Right Stuff Award at Space Camp Turkiye. Tea Venkova was awarded among 159 participants from 3 countries.

The prize is named after the camp's founder Kaya Tuncer and is awarded to a participant who has shown qualities of a future space explorer, according to the Center for Creative Learning, whose scholarship recipient is Venkova.

The Space Camp Turkiye in the city of Izmir has been visited by 79 Bulgarian children on full or partial scholarship. It is expected to be visited by 200 Bulgarian students this summer.

Space Camp Turkiye provides an intensive program focused on STEAM - science, technology, engineering, arts and math - that includes hands-on activities and teamwork. Participants have the opportunity to use a variety of simulators and simulators that recreate real space missions, and provide memorable experiences, and valuable skills.

Space Camp Turkiye is one of two space training centers in the world modeled after NASA. Located in the city of Izmir, western Turkiye, it has a separate complex, simulators and simulators with which astronauts are trained, as well as several control rooms and laboratories.

The Creative Training Centre is the official partner of the programme for Bulgaria.
