There is heavy traffic at some of Bulgaria's border control checkpoints with Greece, Turkiye, and Serbia, Border Police said on their website Saturday. The information is valid as at 6 pm.
At the border with Romania, there is heavy traffic for cars entering and exiting Bulgaria through the Ruse, Durankulak, and Vidin checkpoints, and for trucks exiting the country through the Kardam checkpoint.
At the border with Greece, cars wishing to enter Bulgaria should expect slower crossing at the Kulata checkpoint. Only cars and minivans are allowed through the Makaza, Zlatograd, and Ivaylovgrad border control checkpoints.
A the border with Serbia, there is heavy traffic for cars entering Bulgaria through the Kalotina checkpoint, which is undergoing construction works. Those require temporary narrowing of the lanes and reorganization of the traffic of passing vehicles. The temporary organization of traffic before and in the area of the border crossing may extend the crossing time, Border Police warns.
At the border with Turkiye, exiting cars should expect an extended crossing time at Kapitan Andreevo.
Traffic at the border crossing points with North Macedonia is normal.
