Bulgaria is on the eve of having a new government. In recent years we have exhausted words like duty, responsibility, will but nevertheless hope remains that Bulgaria will have a good and strong government, which will have the trust of the people, said Vice President Iliana Iotova on Monday. She took part in the observances of the 60th anniversary of Hisarya’s recognition as a city.

Iotova said that she would like those who want to govern to be given a second chance, and for them to know their responsibility that they have to be true leaders, remove Bulgaria from the periphery and put it where a country that gave birth to the Slavic civilization belongs.

Vice President Iotova opened a retrospective exhibition, presenting the rich history and culture of Hisarya. The exhibition includes historic photographs and documents which trace the city’s development. At the local summer theatre, where the observances were launched, the Vice President presented honorary plaques to local cultural and spiritual leaders and mayors that left their mark in the history of Hisarya.
