site.bta12th Edition of Balkan Legal Forum Held in Sofia

Balkan Legal Forum's 12th edition will be held in Sofia June 6-7, said the organizers from the the International Bar Association and the Bulgarian Legal Development Foundation.

The event will be attended by representatives from more than 30 countries from three continents. The discussion's theme will be The Modern Lawyer. The International Bar Association's Secretary General, Prof. Jorg Menzer, will address the forum.  

"Never before has there been such an intense time filled with global, regional and national challenges, but also opportunities. Therefore, the modern lawyer must possess a dynamic blend of traditional legal skills and innovative professional competencies, adapted to the current environment, while maintaining a commitment to the rule of law and a drive to provide excellent client service," commented founder and co-chair of the forum, lawyer Borislav Boyanov.

The organizers note that the participants in the event will discuss various topics such as the qualities that a modern lawyer should possess, the role of digitalization and technology, commitment to environmental protection, the social sphere and good corporate practices, M&A trends, etc.

This year's edition of the forum is supported by the Southeast European Law Group, Bulgarian Law Societies, the Supreme Bar Council and the Council of the Sofia Bar Association.
