Sofia, March 20 (BTA) - The total number of confirmed
coronavirus cases in Bulgaria has reached 127, 22 up from
Thursday, Major General Prof. Ventsislav Moutafchiiski, who
chairs the national coronavirus task force, told a regular
briefing here on Friday. The first recovered patient, a woman,
will be discharged from the Military Medical Academy on
Saturday.

Earlier in the day, Moutafchiiski said that talks are underway
with distributors of medicines said by the World Health
Organization  to be effective in Covid-19 treatment. Talks are
underway with Bulgarian pharmaceutical companies as well.

Moutafchiiski said this country has 35,000 quinine doses and
more can be manufactured.

Noting that only 500 out of the 5,000 tests used so far in
Bulgaria were paid for by the State, Moutafchiiski thanked
businesses and people who donated the rest and more, "so that we
now have over 10,000 tests". RI/ZH/NV/DD
