BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party for all constituencies for the June 9 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective party/coalition, the candidates themselves and other official sources of information.

A total of 31 parties and coalitions have registered for the June 9, 2024 national elections in Sliven. The candidates total 203, according to the Constituency Election Commission.

The order follows the sequential numbers on the ballots, as drawn by the Central Election Commission:

1. There Is Such a People: Ivan Kyuchukov. Born 1968 in Simeonovgrad. Graduated from Sofia Technical University. Has served with the Defence Ministry. Has worked with General Motors for 28 years. Sofia Regional Governor in January - August 2022;
2. Glas Naroden [People's Voice] Party: Nikolai Mushnikov;
3. Blue Bulgaria Coalition (9 parties: Conservative Alliance of the Right (KOD); Bulgarian Democratic Forum; Democratic Action Movement; National Movement for Stability and Upsurge; Bulgaria of the Citizens Movement; Conservative Bulgaria Party; Radical Democratic Party in Bulgaria; Bulgarian New Democracy Party; Agrarian People's Union): Dimitar Syarov (aged 51). A lawyer. Appointed Sliven Regional Governor in 2014, until 2015 when he resigned. MP in the 46^th National Assembly;
4. We the Citizens Coalition (3 parties: Bulgarian Spring; Competence, Responsibility and Truth (KOI); Bulgarian Workers'-Peasants' Party): Plamen Paskov. Born 1965 in Dimitrovgrad. Studied veterinary Medicine in Stara Zagora. Participated in the creation of software for management of vet clinics. Established own business in Moscow for software for veterinary businesses;
5. No registered list of candidates;
6. Bulgarian Voice Party: Zhivko Mihov;
7. Rose Coalition (3 parties: Bulgarian Social Democracy - EuroLeft; United Labour Bloc Bulgarian Labourists; Rodolyubie 2000): Veselin Georgiev;
8. Centre Coalition (2 parties: Svoboda [Freedom]; Bulgarian Agrarian Party): Kolyo Paramov. Born 1954. Graduated in economic geography and philosophy from Sofia University, and then international relations from the Sofia University of National and World Economy. Served as Chief Auditor of the Bulgarian National Bank in 1996-98. MP om 1991-94. Chaired the United Social Democracy Party in 2012-2014.
9. Bulgarian Solidarity Coalition: Mincho Afuzov. A master of international economic relations with a second degree in economic informatics. Has been Sliven Regional Governor twice: from May 2021 to February 2022, and from August 2022 to present;
10. Edinenie [Unity] Party: Desislava Teneva;
11. Bulgarian National Alliance (BNO) Party: Georgi Hristov;
12. Vazrazhdane Party: Kliment Shopov (aged 31). Industrial engineer trained in Montreal, Canada. MP in two Parliaments;
13. Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) Party: Zafir Gochev. A business manager;
14. Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria Coalition (4 parties: Continue the Change; VOLT; Democrats for Strong Bulgaria; Yes, Bulgaria Movement): Tatyana Sultanova – Siveva (aged 48). Expert in ecology and environmental monitoring. Has worked at the Environment Ministry. MP in the last three Parliaments;
15. The Truth and Nothing but the Truth People's Party: Dimitar Alexandrov. Has high school education and has served as coordinator in a Roma organization.
16. Bulgarian Rise Party: Valko Valkov (aged 71). Has background in engineering;
17. Civic Bloc Coalition (Radicals Bulgarian Democratic Union, Bulgarian Women's Party): Elena Popova (aged 63). Lawyer by training. Sat on the Sliven Municipal Council for two terms. First-time candidate for Parliament;
18. Society for New Bulgaria Party: Boyan Tsvetkov;
19. The Left! Coalition (ABV (Alternative for Bulgarian Revival), Movement 21, Green Party, Alexander Stamboliiski Agrarian Party, National Movement for Salvation of the Fatherland, Social Democrats Political Movement): Penyo Penev (aged 57). An officer of the Bulgarian Armed Forces. Also trained as an engineer and an expert in security. Has served with the State Agency for National Security and the State Agency for Refugees. Politically unaffiliated;
20. Party of the Greens: Nikolai Garvanski;
21. Here We Come Party: Plamen Petrov;
22. GERB-UDF Coalition (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) and Union of Democratic Forces (UDF)): Desislava Taneva (aged 51). Minister of Agriculture and Food in 2014-17 and in 2019-21. MP in several Parliaments;
23. Bulgarian National Union New Democracy Party: Anelia Hristova – Kirilova;
24. BSP for Bulgaria Coalition (Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP); Ecoglasnost Political Club; Trakia Political Club): Deyan Dechev (aged 48). MP in one Parliament. Several times member of the Sliven Municipal Council;
25. Velichie [Grandeur] Party: Rosen Petrov;
26. VMRO-Bulgarian National Movement Party: Maria Balakchieva (aged 48). Has education in finance. Owns and manages a private business. First-time candidate for Parliament;
27. Direct Democracy Party: Evgenii Tenev (aged 65). Economist by training. Works as financial consultant. First-time candidate for Parliament;
28. Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Party: Hyusein Hafazov. Born 1976 in Burgas. Studied Bulgarian language and literature, and journalism at Shumen University. Served as Chief Secretary and Spokesperson of the Chief Mufti’s Office. Left MRF in 2016 to co-found DOST party, returning to MRF in 2018;
29. Green Movement Party: Martin Zaimov. Born in 1962 in Geneva. Graduated in electrical engineering from the Sofia Technical University. Holds Master’s degree in economics from the Birkbeck College in London. Served as Bulgarian central bank Vice Governor in 1997-2003. Chaired the Supervisory Board of Societe Generale Expressbank. Member of the Democratic Party in 1994. Sat on the Sofia Municipal Council;
30. Party for Great Bulgaria: Dimitar Zhelev (aged 61). Trained as an automobile engineer. A former police officer. Currently works as an automobile expert with Sliven District Court;
31. Bulgarian Union for Direct Democracy (BSDD): Arlin Antonov. Born in Sofia in 1948. Graduated from the Higher Military School in Shumen, then the Rakovski National Defence College in Sofia. Also has a degree in international tourism from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia. Deputy coordinator of the Interior Ministry special squad (the berets) in 1989-1992. Director of the Pazardjik Directorate of the Interior. Headed the National Security Service in 1992-1993;
32. Neutral Bulgaria Coalition (4 parties: Communist Party of Bulgaria; Bulgarian Communist Party; Party of Bulgarian Communists; Russophiles for the Revival of the Fatherland): Vladimir Hristov.
