The National Assembly unanimously (with 195 votes) adopted at first reading changes to the Defence and Armed Forces Act. The bill was tabled by all political forces.

With the new changes, from January 1, 2025, the remuneration of military personnel will increase by an average of 30% while maintaining the established differentiation between military ranks and positions. This mechanism will give predictability and security to military personnel and the necessary motivation to choose the military career, the MPS pointed out.
