Bulgarian athletes won two bronze medals in the first day of the ITF Taekwon-do European Championships in Koper, Slovenia on Thursday. Both honours were earned in the Poomsae discipline.

Bronze went to Alexander Angelov in the juniors’ first dan and Atanas Bolchinov in the men’s third dan. Angelov scored three wins en route to the medal, while Bolchinov scored two wins and a defeat.

More than 800 athletes from 34 countries are taking part in the Championships. Bulgaria is represented by 86 athletes in all age groups.
