site.bta685 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases in Bulgaria

Sofia, April 13 (BTA) -  The confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria totalled 685 as of Monday, said the national coronavirus task force. There are nine new cases. The fatalities are 32, including one who died on Monday.

The hospitalized patients are 230, of whom 36 in intensive care.
 
Nearly 200 people each in the mountain town of Bansko and nearby Dobrinishte have been tested for antibodies. Nearly 200 persons back from a maritime military exercises will be tested too.

Bulgaria now has 15,000 doses of hydroxychloroquine phosphate, enough for the treatment of 16,000 patients.

The head of the coronavirus task force Prof. Ventsislav Moutafchiiski, declined to comment cases in churches where communion was given with the same spoon.

He reiterated his appealed to people not to visit churches during the Orthodox Holy Week and Easter. RI/ZH/LN
