April 20 (BTA) - Prominent journalist Milen Tsvetkov, 53,
was killed in a road accident on Easter Sunday in Sofia.
Tsvetkov's car which had been waiting at a traffic light was hit
from behind by an Audi Q7 four-wheel drive driven by a
22-year-old man who subsequently tested positive for cannabis
and amphetamines.

Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev said that he will put the
investigation into the accident under special supervision.

President Rumen Radev sent condolences to Tsvetkov's  family,
relatives and fellow journalists, Radev's press secretariat said
 on Monday.

In the cable Radev says that "Tsvetkov will be remembered as an
intransigent person with a strong character whose journalism was
equally strong of character, close to his audience and
unbending to the interests of the powers that be". RY/ZH
