site.btaParliament Approves on First Reading Amendments to Tax and Social Insurance Procedure Code

Parliament approved here Wednesday on first reading amendments to the Tax and Social Insurance Procedure Code. The amendments, submitted by MP Bozhidar Bozhanov of Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) and a group of MPs, provide for the introduction of a legal possibility for persons to provide in advance a general bank guarantee in an amount not less than BGN 1 000,000 in connection with the fiscal control of goods with high fiscal risk. This is expected to reduce the administrative burden on the customers of the National Revenue Agency (NRA) by shortening the time needed to carry out control actions or checks on the movement of goods with high fiscal risk - upon receipt, unloading and release of the goods transported, the bill's sponsors argued.

An obligation to provide full information on the claim is also introduced.
