site.bta20 Artists Tell Story of Love, Wine and Traditions in Ruse Exhibition

In the Danubеan city Ruse, an exhibition of 100 paintings by 20 artists celebrates love, wine and traditions. It was organized on the occasion of February 14, when Bulgaria honours both St. Valentin and St. Tryphon, the patron saint of vine growers and wine makers.

The exhibition shows love first and foremost, Ralitsa Kirilova told BTA. Kirilova has been part of the Society of Artists in Ruse for 40 years. "People should love each other, respect each other, stop the hate and struggle for supremacy. Only love can save humanity and we don’t have enough of it nowadays," Kirilova said.

According to her, we should also value our traditions. "It is good to look at our past. It is a huge national treasure that is not valued at the moment," Kirilova said.

The exhibition can be seen until February 22.
