The Press Club of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) in Bosilegrad will host a news conference at 12:30 local time on December 12 to celebrate its 8th birthday.

December 12 will also mark the end of the 11th charity campaign, launched on November 22 by the GLAS Association of Bosilegrad in partnership with BTA.

Over the last ten years, the GLAS campaign has raised over EUR 30,000 thanks to which a number of youth initiatives have been implemented: making an animated cartoon, Bosilegrad and the World of Watercolours, two environmental initiatives: Protect Nature and Small Steps, a performance titled Crossroads, two local art projects: Traditional and Modern and the Butterfly Effect, bringing together young music talents from Bosilegrad and Blagoevgrad, donation of aneroid blood pressure monitors to the Bosilegrad Health Service, and Bulgarian Documentary Film Days in Bosilegrad.

Also on December 12, the GLAS Association of Bosilegrad will announce the winner of the Maxim Minchev Prize that it instituted three years ago to acknowledge contributions to the development of civil society and democratic values. The amount raised by the 11th charity campaign will be officially announced at a ceremony on the same day.
