Borissov stressed the importance to immediately assist those sectors that are facing bankruptcy. He also said that additional options will be sought to subsidize farmers affected by the pandemic through the Bulgarian Development Bank.

Taneva informed Borissov and the branch representatives that applications for the COVID-19 emergency measure under the Rural Development Programme will start in mid-August, and all farmers will be able to apply. The subsidy will amount to 106 million leva, according to the government press service. RY/MT
