The Ministry of Environment and Water warned on its website on Friday afternoon that rain-induced floods are possible along several rivers in Bulgaria in the coming hours. These include the Danube, the Rusenski Lom, the Kamchia, the Vaya, the Suha Reka, the Senkovets and the Provadiiska. The warning also applies to the Byala, the Maritsa, the Tundzha and the Struma.

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology said that the rain will continue into Saturday night. Southern Bulgaria will have more substantial amounts of it. Snow is expected in western mountains.
