The Bulgarian national minifootball team qualified for the quarter-finals of the World Cup, which is being held in Ras Al Khaimah (UAE), after a 2:1 victory over England.
Yavor Genchev scored a goal for the Bulgarian team in the round of 16 match minutes before the end of the first half and Nedelian Kostadinov scored from a penalty in the second half. Dominic Morgan-Griffiths scored for England.

In the quarter-finals, Bulgaria will face Azerbaijan, the European champion from last year's tournament in Slovakia. The two teams have a tradition of playing against each other, and the Bulgarian players could emerge as final winners.

In another round of 16, Azerbaijan won 3:0 against Portugal and will face the Bulgarians on Thursday.
