Over 20 Universities in Bulgaria Using Google Technologies in Higher Education

Bulgaria is among the leading countries in Central and Eastern Europe in the use of Google instruments in higher education. Over 20 universities in the country use that company's technological solutions, it transpired Monday at a seminar on Google Workspace for Education in higher education establishments, the Ministry of Education and Science reported.

Addressing the seminar, Education and Science Minister Galin Tsokov said that in the coming months and years, higher education will be transformed digitally.  "That is why we need to be familiar with the world trends and be able to use these trends to improve the interaction with students and the administrative services in our universities," he added. In his words, many of the lecturers in Bulgaria have practical experience with Google instruments, particularly from the time of the COVID-19 pandemic when lectures were held online.

Pawel Czerwony, Head of Education in Google for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), said that Bulgaria is a specific place in their entire ecosystem. In his words, the company started from here among all CEE countries to incorporate its technological solutions for education. "We have truly good foundations here. And we always present everywhere in CEE the good examples from Bulgaria," he noted.

The company presented part of their new technological solutions easing the work of lecturers and students in higher education establishments as well as improving the quality of the education process' administration.
