Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said while voting in Sunday's local elections that today it is important for everyone to vote. "People, it is up to you what the city, the village you live in will be in one, two, three and four years from now. So get out and vote, otherwise others will do it for you and the town or village will look as they imagine," the Prime Minister said after casting his ballot in Sofia, the Government information service reported.

He declined to comment on the lack of machine voting because "people should be reassured that if they go out and vote, their vote will be counted correctly. The more people go out and vote, the less influence electoral malpractices will have," the Prime Minister stressed.

Denkov voted "for Sofia to be better governed by people who can and know, by a team that includes engineers, architects, IT specialists who can make Sofia much cleaner, more beautiful, where we want to live, our children to have kindergartens and schools and to be a normal European city".
