On this date in Bulgarian history:

1879: First Ordinary National Assembly of Principality of Bulgaria holds first sitting.

1912: Burgas Stock Exchange is set up.

1930: Bulgarian Sugar Factory opens in Dolna Mitropolia.

1944: Kosovo Operation is launched by 2nd Bulgarian Army during final phase of World War II (1944-1945). Bulgaria joins the Allies.

1949: The 6th Grand National Assembly, convened on November 7, 1946, concludes its activity.

1997: First issue of "Sega" national daily.

1998: National Assembly passes Administration Act.

2003: Monument to revolutionary Vassil Levski is unveiled in Kardzhali.

2004: BTA and Newspaper Group Bulgaria become members of Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum.

2009: Bulgarian Photovoltaic Association launched in Sofia.

- International Stuttering Awareness Day.

1879: First Provincial Assembly of Eastern Rumelia opens in Plovdiv (sits until December 22, 1884).

1928: Sofia Municipal Museum with library and archives is established (now succeeded by Sofia History Museum, Central Library of Sofia and Sofia Art Gallery).

1944: Yerevan Cultural and Educational Organization of Armenians in Bulgaria opens its constituent congress.

1998: At 12th Foreign Ministers Meeting of Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation in Sofia, participants sign Agreement on the Privileges and Immunities of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank.

2008: Researchers of Solar-Earth Influence Laboratory with Bulgarian Academy of Sciences build 256 channel absorbed space radiation spectrometer (RADOM) for Indian spacecraft Chandrayaan-1.

2008: First Bulgarian chapter of EU Women's Association is set up at Bulgarian Embassy in Brussels.
