site.bta2,915 PCR Tests Confirm 86 New COVID-19 Cases, Bringing Bulgaria's Total to 18,819

Sofia, September 20 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19
cases in Bulgaria reached 18,819 on Sunday after 86 new
infections were confirmed over the last 24 hours out of 2,915
PCR tests, according to data posted on www.coronavirus.bg.

Varna Region tops the list of new cases with 19 patients,
followed by Sofia City Region with 12 and Blagoevgrad Region
with 11.

A total of 491,780 PCR tests have been performed since the first
 cases were diagnosed on March 8.

The active cases are 4,506. The newly infected persons include 2
 medical staff (1 doctor and 1 nurse), and this category now
totals 1,050.

The hospitalized patients number 723, including 37 in intensive
care.

Another 48 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 13,558.

Two more fatalities were reported, and the death toll now totals
