Sofia, October 18 (BTA) - At the plenum of the National Council
of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) today, Georgi Svilenski
was elected head of the BSP election headquarters, and Vyara
Emilova, Atanas Zafirov and Stoyan Mirchev will be his deputies.
 The party's pre-election campaign begins next week.

The plenum also elected the chairs of the party's sectoral
policies councils, corresponding to the ministries in the
government. They will be tasked with drawing up the sectoral
policies in the BSP pre-election platform, based on the party's
alternative government project titled Vision for Bulgaria.

BSP leader Kornelia Ninova will head the governance council
which will include the chairs of the other councils.

The BSP press center informed that today's plenum is the party's
 first step in the pre-election campaign, and the first sign it
gives to the public that it is prepared to govern Bulgaria.
  
The BSP National Council also adopted its statutes, which allow
the Council to convene online, and introduce a code of ethics
for its members.
