The Consulate General of Bulgaria in Los Angeles announced a 24-hour emergency hotline for Hurricane Hilary. Hurricane Hilary is expected to bring flooding to Mexico and parts of the southwestern United States. The storm will hit Los Angeles on Sunday, August 20, and Monday, August 21.

Bulgarians needing assistance can reach out to the hotline at +1 (310) 437-3606, a message on the Consulate's Facebook page reads.

The Consulate’s team is ready to provide 24-hour assistance to Bulgarian citizens in need of help or in distress, the consulate also said.

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry recommends that Bulgarian citizens residing in the states of California, Arizona and Nevada sign up to receive alert messages on the following websites: California - https://calalerts.org, Nevada - https://alerts.weather.gov/cap/nv.php?x=1, Arizona - https://ein.az.gov/.
