December 10 (BTA) - Conferring with the Special
Representative of the Government of the Republic of North
Macedonia for Bulgaria Vlado Buchkovski on Thursday, Bulgarian
Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said he had always believed that
solutions can be found at the negotiating table. "The present
and future generations will not forgive either Bulgaria or the
Republic of North Macedonia if they fail to reach  a
forward-looking compromise," Borissov said, quoted by the
Government Information Service.

The head of government argued that a pragmatic, straightforward
and well-intentioned approach manifested in specific actions is
needed to find a sustainable long-term solution to the remaining
outstanding bilateral issues. He stressed that a return to a
strict and irreversible honouring of all commitments under the
2017 Treaty of Friendship, Good-neighbourliness and Cooperation
is essential for a relationship of mutual trust.

Borissov was adamant that so far Bulgaria has spared no effort
for the NATO and EU integration of the Western Balkans. RI/DD
