Sofia, December 21 (BTA) - The Bulgarian healthcare authorities
confirmed 166 new COVID-19 cases in the country in the 24 hours
until Sunday midnight after 790 PCR tests, according to data
posted at http://coronavirus.bg. This put the day's positivity
rate at 21.01 per cent.
At 1,732, the number of people who recovered from COVID-19 in 24
hours, again, far exceeded the number of new infections. The
total number of recoveries since the start of the pandemic is
99,758.
Sunday also saw 58 deaths in Bulgaria due to COVID-19. The death
toll so far rose to 6,609.
The total number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in the country
since the start of the pandemic is 191,195, including 84,838
active ones. Currently hospitalized COVID-19 patients number
6,624, among them 536 in intensive care. NV/VE
