site.btaProsecutor General Geshev Challenges MP Immunity of GERB's Daniel Aleksandrov

The Prosecutor General submitted to Parliament a request to lift the immunity of GERB MP Daniel Aleksandrov.

On June 7 the Sofia Prosecution Office suggested to Geshev to challenge Aleksandrov's immunity, and the latter in turn said that his divorce was the basis for this request.

The prosecution service pointed out that there is an investigation in which evidence has been collected that on May 7, 2023, by using force, Aleksandrov performed an act for the purpose of arousing or satisfying sexual desire, without copulation, with regard to a person who has completed 14 years of age in the village of Bistritsa (near Sofia).
