President Rumen Radev accompanied by his wife Dessislava Radeva arrived in the Turkish capital Ankara for the inauguration ceremony of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who on May 28 won his third presidential term with 52.18% of the votes against the opposition candidate Kemal Kilicdaroglu.

After Erdogan takes the oath of office in parliament, a ceremony will be held at the presidential palace. The event will be attended by high-ranking representatives of 78 countries: heads of state, prime ministers, parliamentary and ministerial-level representatives, as well as representatives of international organizations, including NATO and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Anadolu Agency reported.

Erdogan won the presidential elections in Turkiye both in 2014 and 2018, and was Turkiye's Prime Minister for 11 years before becoming the country's head of State.

On May 29, Radev congratulated Erdogan on his re-election, expressing confidence that the excellent cooperation between their two countries will continue to grow even more during the new term of the Turkish President and will be a factor for strengthening goodneighbourliness, trust, security and cooperation in the region of South-Eastern Europe.
