As of March 31, the banking system's profit reached BGN 784 million, which is 37.9 % more than the reported profit for the first quarter of 2022, the Bulgarian National Bank said on Friday. Compared to the same period of last year, net interest income rose by BGN 345 million (47.8%), while net income from fees and commissions rose by BGN 23 million (7.1%).
