Sofia, February 23 (BTA) - Labour and Social Policy Minister
Denitsa Sacheva Tuesday emphasized the need of a map to identify
some 160,000 young people who are neither in employment nor in
education and training. She spoke at an event on Roma employment
 hosted by the Swiss Embassy.

The positive experience of the mechanism for full coverage of
pre-school and school age children will be used in the process.
Young people will be offered opportunities for the validation of
existing skills so that people in the communities can fully
realize their potential on the labour market, said Sacheva as
quoted by her Ministry.

Tackling youth unemployment is one of the priorities of both the
Recovery and Resilience Plan and Operational Programme Human
Resources Development. The National Employment Action Plan will
allocate 1.6 million leva for employment promotion programmes.
Sacheva said the rise in the minimum wage will lead to a pay
rise for Roma mediators, who are key to identifying people for
inclusion in the labour market. RI/DD
