The Grand Mufti, Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, Tuesday signed the condolence book in the residence of the Turkish Embassy in Bulgaria.
The Turkish Embassy opened a condolence book for those who lost their lives in the February 6 earthquake in Kahramanmaras, Turkiye.
"I want to express my condolences to the Turkish people, to the Turkish state, and especially to those who have lost loved ones," Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi said. "We are people of faith and believe that everything is in the hands of the Almighty. He does not send such trials to punish us, but to make us stronger," Hadzhi said. He added that human kindness does not recognize borders, ethnic or religious divisions.
He said in such situations when we are together, we will have the strength to fight such challenges with ease.
The Ambassadors of Belgium, Serbia, Czechia, Spain, Kuwait, the Republic of Korea, Ukraine, Denmark, representatives of the European Commission in Bulgaria, and Deputy Defence Minister Teodora Genchovska signed the condolence book.
Written condolences can be offered at the Embassy's residence at 19 Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd. on Wednesday, February 8, between 10 and 12 a.m. and between 2 and 4 p.m.
